Seeking Forgiveness

To Err Is Human?

It is not surprising everyone knows that making mistakes or having committed something wrong is only human nature. It doesn’t matter whether our mistakes or wrongs are small or big, little or many, serious or not, the result is still the same – all have sinned and fall short of the glory of GodRomans 3:23.

Perhaps that’s what made us humans so feeble and fragile and worse, contradictory in every way even when we’re all sinking and drowning in our own sins, but yet we can so easily forget who we are. We should always bear in mind our shortcomings (sins) at all the time. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord – Romans 6:23.

If this does not come as a surprise that everyone  is born this way to become a sinner, naturally neither should it be possible for those claiming themselves as “men of God” in having the rights to religiously punish others of sins. It’s not surprising either, that all will continue to become vulnerable to commit sin, as we tread precariously and wantonly down the road to perdition looking for a cure of this curse which is Sin, Death and the Devil. Therefore, it’s not even logical to even believe that by simply observing all the man-made religious “laws” and “rituals”, one would find favor in the sight of God and would be “saved” from being a sinner. If everyone can so easily be saved this way, why was it necessary for God to send Jesus to die for us? Why did God suddenly become so unintelligent? One thing is for sure is this. People are being intuitively deceived by the Deceiver and that is what making God looking so silly. No thanks to humans’ folly!

That’s why, there’s this question still looming. When will humans ever learn and appreciate God’s love and grace? Humans are humans – still as unrepentant and rebellious as ever. No thanks to the Devil. People are so powerless to fight the devil inside because we are just too weak to believe and receive the spirit of the resurrected Jesus through repentance and baptism which is the one and only hope of salvation for everyone. And this is the gospel TRUTH that God had revealed to us in the Bible which is the Word of God itself. This is not the time to act by trying to look religious in words or deeds, because it does not work…with God! So you can forget about trying to become “righteous” and “holy” if you are not even washed clean of your own sins first and through the proper channel. There are no two ways about it as Jesus said in Luke 16:13, “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”  It’s either you believe and repent by calling on the name of Jesus to free yourself from the curse or die with the curse in eternal damnation. You have a choice. Can you afford to err now?

To Forgive Is Divine?

We know for instance that it’s not difficult to overlook or to “forgive and forget” between humans and humans if a mistake is not done intentionally to cause harm. But what if a “mistake” was purposely perpetrated with bad intention? What if it’s a premeditated one and on a large-scale only bent on taking lives or advantages? What if it’s repeated over and over with no remorse? What if such “mistakes” committed in the name of God? Would it be so easy to forgive and forget all the same? Is the meaning of “forgiveness” being innocuous that it can go synonymously with the “right” to sin? Could it be for this reason Osama Bin Laden killed and in the end getting killed believing that this paradoxical version of his “Holy Jihad” will conveniently hold out as the ruthless and violent “God” that he worshiped actually “gave” him the right to kill and the right to forgiveness for becoming a so-called martyr?

Can such radical religious ideology be justified in the eyes of humans, let alone God? Can you accept such self-assertion for “forgiveness” as divine? If you think you can, then wouldn’t it be so easy for you or anyone to go on a killing spree and put the tab on God afterwards? Again, if you think you can, then what’s the point of God sending his only begotten Son to come and sacrifice himself as an atonement for the sins of the world so that a second chance for forgiveness of our sins becomes possible through him? “In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins” — Colossians 1:14 —

Do we always search our hearts to find out whether we’re being truthful with ourselves or not? Or are we ignorantly kidding ourselves at the cost of God’s love and grace? And especially when we are at the crossroads that requires us to ask ourselves this most important question about forgiveness which is a matter of life and death and not a game? So who do you think have the divine power to forgive sins? Man or God? Perhaps, to cut a long story short, here’s a quote that might make some sense to you.

“Moses could mediate on the law; Muhammad could brandish a sword; Buddha could give personal counsel; Confucius could offer wise sayings; but none of these men were qualified to offer an atonement for the sins of the world. Christ alone is worthy of unlimited devotion and service.”  — R. C. Sproul

Paul the Apostle writes, “It is in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for.”  — Ephesians 1:11 —

Forgive And Forget?

Every one knows that when it comes to the indomitable task to forgive and forget, it’s always easier said than done. That’s because no one who is not a victim of circumstances would really be able to comprehend the traumas of those who have lost their loved ones in an unnecessary “tragedy” that is nothing so evil than that which is man-made. And one bad example is 9/11. This incident has certainly “earned” a place in the hearts and minds of everyone as one of the Devil’s biggest payback in the wager with God to date. No thanks to human’s evil inclination! The Devil’s trademark of 9/11 will unmistakably be forever etched in the hearts and minds of every human beings ever to exist in this planet as a sign that the Devil is also a part and parcel in the life of all living humans that perpetrators of evil easily forget.

We, as humans created in the image of God and not Satan, is to SAVE each other by calling on the name of Jesus through repentance, and not to kill or punish one another that glorify the Devil instead through violence!

That’s why, the meaning of the Holy Jihad (Holy War) had been badly misconstrued by the radical Muslims. They have failed to understand what they were really fighting for. Unlike Islam, the Holy War according the Bible is actually a war with the Devil mentioned in the Book of Revelation…and not between humans and humans. That’s why, it pretty much got them in hot water for believing otherwise. They have failed to understand that somewhere along the line in pledging their “allegiance” to their version of “God”, they had been inadvertently ill-informed of the true purpose of the Holy War. They have fallen into the Devil’s trap and became what Jesus said, “the blind leading the leading” because of their own ignorance and arrogance. Sadly it’s a case of misadventure because their minds are poisoned by all the false teachings from  all wrong the sources which is why religion is not the answer or solution to the curse of humanity. Jesus is! Anyone who believes in Jesus will understand perfectly why he resisteth not evil and why he offered himself as a sacrifice on the cross. After all, if he had the power to cast out devils, raise the dead and healed the sick, he would have no problem at all crushing the Satan if he wanted to. But why didn’t he? This ought to trigger you to put on the thinking cap. Does it not? Until and unless you do, you will not see the urgency in finding out who Jesus really is and the significant role he plays for anyone seeking forgiveness.

As humans created in the image of God and not Satan, we should have the godly, not the devil’s inclination to fulfill God’s purpose for us to SAVE one another by calling on the name of Jesus through repentance, not to kill or punish one another that glorify the Devil instead! Haven’t we been jinxed enough all through the centuries of existence as humans?

Everyone who is still breathing should know this. No one who consider themselves as “living”, should make a pact with the Devil unless of course, the person concern is really ashamed to have a heart and a conscience for God and have big issues accepting Jesus, because even the once ashamed and demonized Apostle Paul (Saul) said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written. The just shall live by faith”  — Romans 1:16-17 —

Are you ashamed of accepting the Lord Jesus Christ?

So, in a twinkling of an eye, the world would have had once again pathetically be reminded for the 10th anniversary this year that crimes against humanity is an evil that will flourish as long as humans failed to have a heart for God and especially the love of Jesus who is the one and only hope of salvation for all. Humanity is certainly dying in the hands of the Deceiver simply because humans failed miserably to have the common sense and humility to come home to God through the one and only possible link that is Jesus. In short, humans are just plain fools who easily get themselves deceived by the Deceiver to do everything possible to annihilate one another through greed, selfishness, or religion which would be the Deceiver’s most powerful tool to wreak havoc on humanity and between Man and God.

Insomuch that civilization has until now never learned the meaning of the “axis of evil” and the terror it entailed and worse, who’s the real culprit behind it all. The question now of course, is not so much as looking at who is to blame, but at what needed done to stop all the unnecessary killings of one another? Because of ignorance and arrogance, there will be no end to all the terrors and violence that will annihilate humanity without imminent recourse. However, if people try exactly the opposite and that means, accepting the humility and love of Jesus into their hearts, the chances are, they will begin to  see the big difference. Impossible? If God is with you, nothing is impossible! The only question and problem is, have you a heart and conscience for God in the first place?

For the last decade, there have been countless of “conspiracy theories” emerging and books written on the 9/11 tragedy.  But still nothing whatsoever can prove beyond any reasonable doubts who was/were the real perpetrator/s behind other than the fact that it was Osama who claimed responsibility for the attack that made him “somewhat” famous. Then again, the point is, you will never know what truths if indeed there are, might come out of it if there are no fingers-pointing based on all those controversies made by people whether in the internet or books. That’s because there are always pros and cons in everything as there’s good and evil in everyone. Likewise, one must not forget to look at both sides of a coin to “unearth” the truth.

Now that the master mind, Osama can longer strike fear in the hearts of anyone especially the “infidels” westerners because he’s already been annihilated in his own game of “kill or be killed”. However, does that mean it’s the end of the war on terror? One can only go so far as to kill the body but can one kill a person’s ideology? If not, that would be back to square one. It’s a cycle that will not stop once it started. How can it be stopped then? If you asked me, the answer is simple. It would either be as easy as ABC or it’s not. Just share the good news of Jesus and that’s it! That is the one and only happy ending for all. If Apostle Paul who once was an evil and ruthless person and persecuted Christians yet could change because of Jesus, why not you? The hardest part of making it happen is when you or anyone stops believing in the good news of Jesus. That would be mankind’s worst man-made disaster ever!

In the meantime, it will not completely stop although the chances of perpetrating such crimes against humanity would be on a “lesser” scale now that the bigwig of Al-Qaeda is gone. But nonetheless, there’s still an answer to the problem. There is an answer that always existed but only that it’s an answer that will usually be ignored and swept under the carpet probably because it’s deemed as unpopular by most people who see it as a sign of weakness. Is it to forgive and forget? Yes, but it may or may not work all the time for everybody. It all depends. If the cases are minor little offense, maybe people can forgive and forget. It will be a different story altogether for some other “more” serious cases like the infamous Osama Bin Laden.

Apparently it will be out of the question for the families of those victims killed in 9/11 to forgive and forget. 1st – because it’s human nature. 2nd – because humans are always oblivious to the real purpose of their existence on earth. 3rd – because the Deceiver will make sure of that! So in the end, no matter how one goes about it in whatever ways or manners, one will only end up having to consider the only option of forgiveness that will ever make sense and it’s the forgiveness of sins through the Lord Jesus Christ. It is now only a question whether one is willing to choose this option that will decide the future of everyone in a world to come…one that is not of this world but have to carry out in this world!

Can You Stand Corrected?

The highlight of this post today is not so much about the subject – to forgive and forget. That’s only part of the answer but not absolute. That’s because this aspect of “forgiveness” is only dealing with humans between humans and not humans with God. So it’s a subject that is rather subjective. In other words, anyone has the right to give one’s own point of views and stance. If we based our arguments on the standards and values of humans, everyone is right in one’s own frame of mind.

As such, there is absolutely no correct or proper solution to counter such an elusive subject that not only could be abused, but also get over-rated because I have seen on YouTube, some zealous parties of late, are trying to pull off their publicity stunts for “forgiveness” on the streets. What’s most important now that has to be everybody’s top priority is to focus on the pure and divine forgiveness that comes from God and not between humans and humans because humans always have underlying intentions. That is why there is only one very important person in the world who is really qualified to solve the issue of forgiveness that is pure and divine in its nature. Do you know who?

Everyone knows it would definitely take a miracle to happen to stop the vicious cycle of the “axis of evil”. But did anyone know it would take only a small and humble act to clean up all the big mess. And that is, REPENT by calling on the name of Jesus! Isn’t that stupendous to even imagine that just one small little act can actually erase all the past and one can start brand new which is what being a Christian is all about? That’s the power of healing when you have a heart and conscience for God. Yes, it would just take anyone or any perpetrators of all evils to do a 360 degrees turnaround, everything will change for good…once and for all. Yes, if only just anyone, good or evil would give a thought to just following in the footsteps of one of the most remarkable story of a person who made a miraculous turnaround, then there’s real hope of everyone killing the real culprit in the saga of human’s pathetic history of self-annihilation because of ignorance, arrogance and unwillingness to repent from the heart. Should not everyone know by now who is the ‘real culprit’ existing in our daily lives? You will not see where your destiny lies if you are not willing to stand corrected.

The Conversion Of Saul Of Tarsus.

This remarkable story of a man who was first known as Saul, hailed from a place called Tarsus in a city of Cilicia. He was a Jew by birth and son of a Pharisee. He was also a Roman citizen. That evidently made him hated the disciples of Jesus whom many were soon seen facing tortures and persecution because of their faith. He was later known as Paul the Apostle (Acts 13:9) after a miracle happened and changed him completely from a ruthless person to become the most aggressive minister in proclaiming the gospel of Jesus and his resurrection.

It was during one of his mission to bring back the Christians for punishment in Jerusalem that suddenly a bright light shone on him while on a journey in Damascus. It blinded him for three days and three nights. In that incident, it appeared that the spirit of Jesus spoke to him. Here is another wonderful testimony that Jesus indeed rose from the dead and truly qualified as the Savior and Christ. So what else do people need to believe in him?

“And he fell to the ground and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do. And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man. And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him to Damascus. And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink. And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake. And Ananias went his way and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.” (Acts 9).

In the course of his ministry in preaching the good news of Jesus, he got beaten many times and thrown into prison several times too. How and where he died was not recorded in the Bible. What’s important than this, is that it should serve as a good example that Jesus indeed has the power to change a person. This is a message to all those who are just the same as Saul who hated the Christians and persecuted them because of their faith in Jesus. It is time for them to open their eyes like Saul and see who the Almighty One is that they should serve. This is the time to stand corrected as did Saul of Tarsus because only by repenting and calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ will there be divine forgiveness of your sins, if indeed you are seeking forgiveness.

With all due respect. Is it not proper then that you had better not seek forgiveness of your mistakes or wrongdoings in all the wrong places and for all the wrong reasons? Have a heart and conscience. Do it the right way. Turn back to the one and only correct path even as Jesus is still saying now, “I am the way, the truth and the life: No man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” — John 14:6 —
